Life On The Rails

Stage 2

The Bathurst Rail Museum tells the story of rail in Bathurst and the region, through stories and people who worked on the railway.  Through the museum content the session explores how technology such as rail has changed life in Australia over the past 150 years.

Using collections of objects, images, stories and discussion, this program helps students understand their world, past and present. Guided investigation of the Bathurst rail story will compare lifestyles, technologies and the history of rail.
