The National Motor Racing Museum, Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, and Bathurst Rail Museum have re-opened! The Chifley Home and Education Centre will remain closed for conservation works.
The National Motor Racing Museum re-opened under current NSW Public Health Orders on Wednesday 20th October 2021.
The Museum is closed on Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year’s Day (1 January).
Located 207km west of Sydney and 251km from Canberra, Bathurst is also within easy reach of many NSW destinations.
The Museum is located next to the Mount Panorama racing track.
The museum welcomes all group visitors, whether you’re a motoring club on its annual rally to the Mount, a school group or a seniors group taking in the region.
Facilities to make your group visit more enjoyable include our park with children’s playground equipment and gas barbeques.
Parking is plentiful with coaches, motor homes and caravans all catered for. If you’re interested in including us in your club rally, there are spaces for cars fronting the museum and plenty more alongside. We can also cater for clubs if necessary.
There is disabled access and toilets and a well-stocked shop. Due to restrictions that occur over race weekends please contact the museum well ahead of time to avoid disappointment.
